DIY puffy paint is the perfect sensory activity for kids who enjoy getting their hands dirty!
The following recipe by artfulparent.com uses only a few ingredients and does not require a microwave like most puffy paint recipes.
3+ cups of shaving cream (foam not gel)
1 cup flour
1 cup white glue, such as Elmer’s
Food coloring or paint
Ziploc-style sandwich bags
Sturdy paper or board (poster board, tag board, cardboard, watercolor paper, or paper plates
Measure all ingredients. Mix shaving cream, lour and glue together. Do not overmix.
Divide the mixture into several small bowls and add food coloring. Do not overmix.
Spoon the paint mixture into Ziploc bags or sandwich bags. Cut off a small corner and squeeze paint onto paper or poster board.
